Since the dawn of Facebook in 2004, a variety of user types have emerged. Most carry on their existence peaceably; others roam the social networks with dark intentions. In efforts to help you recognize these Rogues, NewFire Media has created a gallery in the classic presentation of the role playing games of yesteryear. Just click on one of the images to view a larger version of the perpetrators.

TaxSlayer.com needed a way to drive additional traffic to their online tax preparation software. Using a combination of marketing efforts, TaxSlayer.com employed us at New Fire to work with them on Display Advertising and Paid Search Management. As we began to craft a strategy for the upcoming tax season, we knew that Google’s Display Network would be a key component in driving traffic and brand awareness.

Previously known as the Google Content Network, the Google Display Network is a collection of websites that have partnered with Google, YouTube and other Google properties that display AdWords ads. These ads can be standard text ads, banners or even videos and animated flash banners. They can use the same keyword targeting methods available to Google AdWords or can target a specific audience you want to reach.

Under NewFire’s direction, TaxSlayer moved a portion of their overall Paid Search budget into the Google Display Network using the same creative graphics and banners that were used in the Display Advertising (banner advertising) campaigns. The Google Display Network performed better than expected, sending thousands of users to the TaxSlayer.com site to complete their taxes. The combination of visual ads and the power of Google’s AdWords keyword tools, makes the Google Display Network an extremely effective marketing resource.

Recently, a Google representative contacted TaxSlayer.com to discuss the high-level of success they were having on the Display Network and became interested in featuring them on a new Google success story website. TaxSlayer.com shared the good news with NewFire and now we are anxiously awaiting the final story that should be appearing on the new Google site soon. We will be sharing the spotlight with national brands like Carnival Cruise Lines, Match.com, Hawaiian Airlines and many more. Stay tuned for updates!

Through training and consulting, NewFire has enabled TGIFriday’s Augusta to leverage Facebook fans to share information on their fan page to increase foot traffic to the restaurant. By understanding Facebook and Google analytics, restaurant staff and managers focus on content their customers want, rather than guessing at what may be successful.

Through expert knowledge of the fields, NewFire was able to come through and empower TaxSlayer.com to have it’s most successful year to date.

They are now able to direct interested consumers to specific landing pages on the main site. NewFire assisted in planning and developing a six-month timeline of content including Facebook contests, tips and product info, and marketing campaigns to coincide with radio and print efforts developed by internal Healthé Trim representatives.

In addition to the social media platforms, NewFire created and maintained a secondary “blog” style site to provide critical product information, quickly post information or address industry concerns for Healthé Trim.

CENTURY 21 Larry Miller Realty of Augusta knew that learning to use new media was a vital tool for the future survival and growth.

How many times have you caught yourself trying to explain Social Media to your boss, friends, or family to only have them return a very dazed and puzzled look? Or how many times have you been the one with the confused look as the explanation of Social Media flies right over your head? This is not so surprising considering the fact that every time you run a search on Social Media there is always a “new and improved” definition. The amount of articles, blogs, and opinions on the subject can be overwhelming. However, if you look closely there is one common theme that emerges through the noise: Social Media is the engagement of conversations happening on-line.

Just how big is this Social Media thing?

If Facebook were a country it would be the world’s 3rd largest ahead of the United States and only behind China and India.

80% of companies use social media for recruitment; % of these using LinkedIn 95%.

There are over 200,000,000 blogs.

78% of consumers trust peer recommendations.

Only 14% trust advertisements.

Over 50% of the world’s population is under 30-years-old. 96% of them have joined a social network.

How do I get started?

If you want to understand the concepts and tools behind Social Media – then get involved in the conversation that is happening online – today. Utilize the available tools and applications to participate in the open community. Once engaged, you can thrive by connecting to other sites, resources and people. The actual form of interaction can be as simple as sharing your comments/opinions, pictures, videos, completing a survey, or asking you to vote on an particular topic. It is the simple act of sharing and exchanging information that is called Social Media.

What do you want to say? Who are you listening to? Why would you like to connect? How do you define Social Media?

Let us know what you think or call us today to learn more about how you, your company or organization can harness the power of Social Media.

By being a featured agency with Google’s Invite Media, the provider of the first universal buying platform for online display media, we provide clients the ability to access, optimize and execute effective online advertising across a vast amount of the internet.

What is Online Advertising?

Online advertising is promotion that uses the Internet and World Wide Web for the purpose of delivering marketing messages to achieve your company’s objectives. Examples of online advertising include:

Paid Search (Contextual Ads on Search Engines)

Display Advertising(Banner Ads, Rich Media Ads)

Social Network Advertising

Email Marketing

A New Kind of Ad Agency

Rather than ask you for your entire advertising budget like old agencies, we help you develop a plan for online advertising that allows you to see what you are actually paying per impression, click or action. By working with InviteMedia, we have the ability to use BidManager, the world’s first universal buying platform for display (or online) advertising. Through BidManager we help you develop a strategy that gives you real-time feedback on what you are paying for online advertising and allows you to quickly make changes to your plan.

With NewFire, you can automatically buy from multiple Ad Exchanges in real-time, all through the same interface and without the mark-up in price often charged by Ad Networks and conventional agencies.
You can use Bid Manager’s built-in real-time optimization system to maximize performance. We will work with you, using our in-house platform and managed services teams, to create your best strategy.

Why do we say that? People are looking for emotional connections that resonate. The best way to deliver those connections is through compelling content. By focusing on Social Media and Web Development, NewFire places an emphasis on a robust content strategy. We use a stable of experts to produce the desired materials and results. Adobe Certified Experts create beautiful, user-friendly interface graphics while professional writers create thought-provoking copy. Information architects organize experiences and keyword experts influence search engine marketing usage.

We can help you define your communication and messaging goals through strategic planning. This saves time and money by developing what you want to say and who to say it to first, rather than building expensive websites, platforms and literature that may not accomplish your goals. NewFire helps you do a content audit of all your existing articles, bios, images, videos, press releases, etc. Then we help you sift through, separating the good from the bad. We create content that educates your clients and customers, in order for them to make informed decisions and trust you with their business.
